OUR STORY

America is a long ways away, and for Diana Foster Ho, familiar southern comforts were hard to come by. That’s what birthed the idea for this family-friendly, casual diner — co-founded with her husband Ben and their friend Joyce, and built on one simple belief: good food should feel honest.

The menu came directly from Diana’s list of things she missed from home. Every dish is made properly — meats prepared in-house, sauces from scratch, ingredients sourced from small local Penang businesses. No shortcuts, because the people eating here deserve better than that.

Today, Let’s Meat is a place people come back to. Where families share meals and fries, friends linger longer than they planned, and regulars feel right at home in Tanjung Bungah, Penang.

  • Yes! We offer vegetarian-friendly dishes and vegan options, and we can accommodate gluten-free swaps on many menu items. Just let our team know when you arrive and we'll be happy to guide you through the menu.

  • Relaxed and unpretentious — that’s the vibe. No dress code, no fuss. We have a cosy indoor dining area and an outdoor patio, with soft lighting, easy music, and the kind of atmosphere where you actually want to stay a while. Kids are very welcome (there’s even a reading corner for little ones) and there’s a gift shop on site too. For dogs on the patio, give us a call beforehand and we’ll let you know what’s possible.
